I didn't like the upside down dungeon, and its HEAVY references to FF1. Other than that I liked the game.

Yep on like disc 3. Its a upside down perimid if I remember right. Though the main gimmick of it is that the low level weapons are best at the bottom (doing more damage then strong one) and working up from there.

[Sounds really cool. But it is not in FF IX. Because I have never played such an area. There is an area on the Outer Continent with Pryamids, but you never really enter them, and they are right-side up]

Looked it up.

Ipsen's Castle, which is in FFIX. Sorry I remember it being a pyrimid not a castle.

[It's cool. Happens. Now, Ipsen Castle isn't much fun, I will agree. But it also does not take very long to complete. It's also at the ass-end of disc 3, so you are correct]

FFIX.....I give it a 8/10....8 cause FFVIII was better and then take away 8 cause the game doesn't have gunblades in it which leaves this game with a 0/10.

Okay okay just kidding I give a 9/10 cause it's a great RPGthe only thing I would say it lacked for me was that the atmosphere of the game didn't interest me as much as FF7 or 8 did but that really only comes down to my taste in storyplot.

[I would say you are right - it comes down to taste. IX was back to being a fantasy story, a true fantasy story, whereas VII and VIII were sci-fi oriented]
