mass effect 1-2

the first mass effect game was amazing in my opinion, with impressive graphics and slick gameplay, the story was good as well incorperating pretty much all know space with an epic trek across it as well.

i personnaly can't wait for the second game to be released ^^.

My point was rather that Alex is not the only one to curse a game without feeling the need to properly elaborate on his opinion and there is a certain irony that you are the one to confront him about it.

Nothing personal, but I was humoured.

[You would be correct. When it comes to Mass Effect, I just don't feel like talking about it. Its' been a hatred I've harbored since the first one came out. Normally I would say whats' on my mind, but I don't feel up to it for this game]

Just thought I'd post my findings so far.

I went out with a friend yesterday morning at 10:30, and bought Mass Effect 2. I've got about 15+ hours of gameplay so far, and it's very nice. Good story, great visuals, very nice mechanics, as my friend said, they took out everything that sucked about the last game, and replaced it with everything that did work.

All in all, as far as I've gotten I'd say it was worth buying. My friend claims it's his new favourite game, replacing Mass Effect 1.

Sweet. Time to steal it from Cook.

erm as much as i liked the first one this one just didn't feel right to me there were a few things i didn't like i am also aware im poking corpses bringing this thread back but damn there is something fun about hitting a dead person knowing they cant hit you back unless they become a zombie of course but then it becomes a whole new and fun game ^^.

for 1 i hated the tedious shooting flags at planets for the sake of mining -_- waw id prefare to run round in the mako and get attaked by those giant worms.
2 i didn't feel like there was enough to do. not enough side quests you had to buy every upgrade near enough and by the end of the game there isn't enough money anyway to buy them all -_- fucking sucked balls on that department. you couldn't customize your suit as well as you could in number 1.

3 and was it just me or did the universe seem allot smaller?

if i ha-dent played the first game then yes this would be up there in my top 5 shooters rpgs whatever category you want to call it but having played the first i think this falls short it feels to me like something was desperately missing in this game and the designers knew it but they hoped you wouldn't notice i truley hope they do a better job with number 3 -_- because for me number two has ruined the series
