RE4 was and IS awesome! And should this game really be considered a "shooter"? Only Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles and Dead Aim are what I'd call "shooters"... but what do I know =P

You forgot Resident Evil Survivor. But I would call RE4 a shooter, being thats what the main draw and gameplay is. But then there is still those that view only FPS as shooters, but not 3PS.

As great as RE4 is, I find it sad that the Wii port of it was the best Wii game I've ever played.

I consider a game to be a shooter if the bulk of the gameplay revolves around shooting.

Depends really....alot of platformers seems like they have more shooting than jumping. And I don't think that that should make them shooters by default.
