I got Mario Party 2 for N64 and there is still this one part I can't pass. It's that mode (I guess it's for unlocking more minigames on the old tree), where you got a few lives, roll the dice, pass minigames etc. You lose in a minigame, you lose a life. Now, to continue, I still need to win that one game, that musical game, where the enemy choses buttons, and then there's this note sheet and you gotta play the right notes, like Karaoke. Shit, I just can't pass that.
Whatever, the minigames are pretty good in that one and it's overall funny. Wario's even saying a german sentence ("So ein Mist!", he says), when he's about to lose a game. It's a good N64 Mario Party.

Then, I also got Mario Party 4 for GC. Well, it's GC Mario Party.

Mario Party sure is something for parties (wow, what a realizing), but ONLY for parties. Nothing for single players, unless you're boring or just playing the minigames :-P

The only complaint is actually that it's sometimes so slow in gameplay. It's like why don't we play the minigames right away? Who cares about who wins? I wanna push Mario from the stage or jump in hot lava! Man, I could've done something meaningful, like planting a tree, going outside, meet some friends or watch the GTA citizens doing funny things.

Well, it's an alright game, could be worse.

[A lot of the modern Mario Party titles do suffer from lame game boards, and the minigames their only strongpoint. MP4 definatly fits this mold, in my opinion. I was quite disappointed with it, but at the same time, was loving some of the minigames. I think that, if they were to slow THE FUCK DOWN with MP releases, they might start putting out good ones again. The first two were marvelous, and I haven't played the third, but I can only assume its' awesome as well. Mario Party 4 sucked, and 8 was a good step in the right direction with the game boards. That is all I have to say on MP titles for the moment]

That reminds of me of AT9 and I.We were the kings of the team minigames.AT9 was Mario,and I was Luigi. good times.

Agreed!! By the way the third one was my favorite ( or any on the N64 really ) the game cube did digress and the Wii just failed. Putting motion controls in a boring game doesnt make it totally awsome!! Making an awsome game then intigrating the motion controls make it awsome!!

[I Agree with that statement more than any other statement made by ANYONE on this entire site. Seriously, I hate motion control. It sucks. I wanna blow the idea up. The Wii has destroyed some very good titles by throwing MC into it and turning it up to ten. Super Paper Mario is one game I can deal with, since the motion bullshit is kept to a minimum]

You cant just say that!! You have to think about how many motion controled thing are accutally good. Ever played........hmmmmmmm.......good point!!
