what's your favourite RPG series?

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to all sorts of things, so as an RPG gamer I feel I should ask what RPG series do you guys and girls like and why?

I personally like SMT for their darker storyplots. Final fantasy I only 7-12 but 12 was poor in storyplot in my opinion and Pokemon....it was what got me into RPG gaming and it's very simple to play but can be complex if you make it competitive.

Hmmm... a difficult question. I would say Mass Effect, but I loooooooved playing Demon's Souls! But then again, I don't play that many RPGs =S

So far the only two that I can Honestly say I like is FF and SMT. 7,8,9, and 10 are bad-ass. Each one has a very unique battle system and story. Both of the Personas I played(3&4) had some of the most in-depth character building in VG history. The battle system is clearly unique to the series, and the persona creation has a distinctive way of drawing upon the player's completion complex. Don't get me wrong, It's not that I don't play other RPG's. I just haven't found the other series's to have a lot of good games. Example; DQ8 is one of my favorite RPG's of all time; however, DQ7 sucked. I found DQ7 to be terrible for one simple aspect. The game is all about talking to everyone to figure out what you have to do. As you can imagine, this becomes quite the redundant task.

[Yes, considering you have to sometimes travel from one end of the world map to the other, talking to people. Very annoying]
