The Gamecube

Well to be fair....very few games used the xbox or GC hardware to its fullest. Though so very pretty games where on the GC Resident Evil REmake comes to mind.

[My point is how people often say the Gamecube has no graphical capability. I imagine those same people haven't looked at a 64 game in years. After all, we remember the games of our younger days a lot better than what they actually look like. I remember the 64 BLOWING ME AWAY when I was younger. When I started playing them again, i was shocked at how crappy it looked, compared to what i remembered. But another thing that sets me apart from others is that no matter if the graphics are good or not, if I like the game and have fun with it, I keep playing it. I have never became a graphics whore, forgettign the games I used to like just because they are older. The hypocrites that didn't play the PSone games because 'the graphics suck' are the same hypocrites that praised the PSone for its' graphics years before, and refused to play the SNES or Sega because the 'graphics suck' when years before they praised the Sega too! If I ever get like that, stick a fork in me, I wouldnt' deserve the right to run a game forum]

Well I don't consider myself a "graphic whore", BUT I do like games from a year looking like other games from that year. Like if I am playing a 2004 game that doesn't get on pair or higher than most other 2004 game it will annoy me. Now I wont stop playing a game on graphics alone, but this is not a plus point for the game IMO.

[I do agree with you... a lot actually. DragonQuest7 disgusts me! One of the biggest reasons is how much corners they cut with the graphics. I was shocked when I saw it..it looks like a super Nintendo game, no lie! Straight up...every single thing about it screams Snes. Get this! The battle system is first person view!!!!!!! wtf??? we're talking about a game made for the PSone in the year 2000!! There were certainly other things that pissed me off about that game, but the graphics on that game are the worst i've ever seen when it comes to not using what is available in a given year. A two disc, year 2000 game that looked like it was from 1991]

All right, the comment regarding the Gamecube's visual capabilities was admittedly enhanced with hyperbole. Visuals aren't everything, and by no means do I hate the Cube. Take the XBOX. Beautiful, at the time, but slow and faulty and reeking of Microsoft all over. Some days I could swear I was going to get a blue screen of death while waiting for any game at all to load all of it's countless packages to the level.

[lol, I hear ya. Anyway, I know visuals aren't everything, but you were saying the cube wasn't much better than the 64, so I showed you not only its' graphics abilities AND its system resources, but the system resources of the ps2 as well, to showcase that if the cube isn't much better than the 64 power wise, than neither is the PS2]

The only thing I ever really played on the gamecube was Melee, Zelda, and Metroid

wow a GC thread... never thought i would be reminded of this awesome console....i mean sure there weren't many games for it that i could get hold of but this console had some kick ass games like

all the old zeldas (twas a special release)
