Video Game Music Going Mainstream

As you might have heard, "Baba Yetu" the theme song from Civilization IV, recently got a Grammy (http://venturebeat.com/2011/02/13/baba-yetu-video-game-grammy/), now remixes are getting cool too!

A rapper named Mega Ran recently released an album called "Black Materia" (clever that, eh?) on which he remixed and raps to songs from Final Fantasy VII, check some samples out here:




The most amazing thing about it is, perhaps, that is sounds like legitimate rap and not nerdcore full of allusion only other nerds would get.
